More than a decade in the event industry. Weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across the island.
Before Cyprus, Maria spent eight years in management at an international fast-food chain — rising from entry-level staff to restaurant director overseeing a team of 250, with management training in Germany.
Relocating to the island in 2017, she encountered the reverse side of that experience: without the language or knowledge of local regulations, her CV counted for little. Her first project on Cyprus was a signature bubble show, which she wrote and performed herself, learning by trial and error in a field where no courses or reference materials yet existed.
Early bookings came through referral — from bar and hotel owners to private clients and agencies. With the birth of her daughter and the market shutdown during the pandemic, she made the decision to stop doing everything alone — but before building a team, she worked through the roles herself: scriptwriting, decor, performance.
Today, CyprusShows is a team where each specialist owns their discipline, while Maria retains full producing and creative control over every project.
